洪水如猛兽，服务下乡来

自6月22日以来，截止到6月30日19时，湘潭连续遭受大到暴雨袭击，导致全市8个县(市)区、园区53个乡镇街道受灾，作为湘潭地区洪水受灾区之一，乌石镇受到重大影响。据悉，覆盖全县的100毫米至130毫米的降水，导致湘江支流涓水河、涟水河、青山河等河流全线超保证水位，由于汛情紧急，洪水期间乌石镇部分居民被安排转移。
7月7日上午，伴随着天气的迅速转晴，湖南科技大学永利欢乐娱人城团委学生会组织的一批队伍前往乌石镇进行“三下乡”灾后考察和服务。
在到达乌石镇乌石峰中学安顿下来的第一天，志愿者们就意识到了这里问题的严重性。由于乌石峰中学所处地带以抽取地下水为生，而洪水过后严重影响地下水水质，导致饮用水供给存在一定问题；原本作为本次“三下乡”志愿服务对象的乌石敬老院也遭到洪水袭击惨遭淹没；村镇一些基础设施同样遭到严重破坏，对居民的日常生活造成诸多不便。然而洪灾带来的恶劣影响还不止这些，“三下乡”小组将对其他受灾情况进行进一步的了解。
针对乌石镇的受灾情况，“三下乡”小组将以“抗灾服务”为目标之一，在克服自身困难的前提下，对乌石镇的灾后救助提供志愿服务，为乌石镇居民提供物质上的帮助和精神上的抚慰，一定程度上减轻洪灾对乌石镇的影响。
